Mexico: NAVTEQ & SIGSA launch online GPS device store

NAVTEQ has announced its collaboration with SIGSA (Sistemas de Informacion Geografica S.A. de C.V.), a leading distributor of GIS solutions and ESRI software in Mexico, in the launch of an online web store (www.TiendaGPS.com.mx) which offers Garmin branded GPS devices and products aimed specifically for the Mexican market.

The NAVTEQ map of Mexico includes 2,454 cities, more than 450,000 km of roads and 31 states including the Distrito Federal. In addition to road network coverage, the Mexico map contains a full set of features including more than 59,000 points of interest (POIs) such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations and banks enabling users to select their destination either by address or the POI listing.
